11-26-2020 Happy Thanksgiving
Have a great holiday season everyone!

Still in Quarantine
Ok still in 2 week quarantine that stared last March. When we start moving again, we will restart the blog.
8-26-2020 Hurricane A Coming
Well this could get interesting – a Cat 3 or 4 Hurricane (Laura) is coming our way and should say to the east of us. We should see winds and heavy rains and maybe a slight chane of tornadoes in the area. Forecasters are saying the area could see 40 mph winds. So may have pictures, if I can get some. Remember, we are at Livingston.

8-9-2020 Bidding Time
So we have become really bored as not much left to do and the Pandemic does not allow traveling easily as you may have 2-week quarantines as you cross state lines. So it is safer and healthier to stay put in Livingston Texas.

Got a skeleton and a friends chair and decided to pose him- showing how bored we are here. More pictures to come.
Weather here is hot, how hot well we have been in the 90s since May and we are told it will not drop till Oct or Nov.

So hoping you catch a cool break now and then.
6-26-2020 Closing States Hamper Travel

Need fun too.
As a full-time RVer, it is hard to plan any travel at this time of Covid 19. States are closing opportunities to come to visit and others are quarantining you for 2 weeks at a time. If most people would use common sense and respect others by giving them the distance, not throwing trash around, and respecting property this would clear up much faster and make life better for everyone – even RVers.
So we are on the road and currently in Missouri. We are trying to head North for Iowa and wait to see if Pennsylvania opens so we can go family. If it does not open, we will head back to Texas were we are guaranteed a spot to hold up again. We are isolated in the RV and if we have to go somewhere, we are cautious and have masks and other things as needed to make sure we do not get sick or make others sick. That folks, is being responsible.
With the limited travel so far, I see RV and state parks suffering because of lack of people. Most people who are out, are doing great and being responsible. Others are being totally inappropriate by leaving trash and messes where ever they land. It is said to see our country come to this state. People throwing things away so others suffer, tearing out history one piece at a time, destroying property that is not theirs, and leaving our nation looking foolish and incapable to handle our own issues. I just hope we wise up soon or we may lose it all.
I hope we can get to the end of the trip as we planned it with no issues. As with most RVers, we have enough problems with the rig itself at times. Stay safe for all you travelers. Family, hope to see you soon.
6-22-2020 Finally on Road Again!
Cleared the doctors and headed out. Tired of the quarantine and heat. First stop, Tyler State Park, TX. So beautiful

The lake has fishing, swimming, hiking, and biking.

And lots of tree.
6-1-2020 Life in Quarantine in an RV
Life in quarantine in an RV is really interesting. We are really away from folks and probably are the best example for others. We got lucky as we were in an Escapees park when quarantine occurred and got stay until we could leave.
Shopping is another story. The masses that were stockpiling make it hard for RVers because we are limited on space and some type of items (like toilet paper for RV use – it is made for out septic tanks so they do not clog). We hard to watch as we shipped as we cannot store a lot but saw things running out which could be a problem. We were lucky, as we were able to find most things or did without. We even tried to help our older RVers buy getting things for them if we could. AMazon was a choice but the delivery time slowed a lot.
Surprising, the cat food was the hardest to find, If you have picky eaters, and we do, it can get interesting fast. If you order on line, they were out or it took forever to get here. And like everywhere else the price went up dramatically.
We watched gas fall with hopes we would get moving soon as it was great. Now that we can move, the prices are rising again – what gives?
So while stuck, I got my surgery done, after two delays due to closures, So after the last checkup – we re hitting the road again. Idf we have to do this again, the RV is a good place.
4-12-2020 Happy Easter
We enjoyed a small Easter Parade here at Rainbows End Park. Weather was wonderful!

3-27-2020 Shelter in Place
We are very fortunate to be able to shelter in place at Escapees in Livingston, TX. The bad news is my eye surgery was moved a month – but better safe than sorry. If this continues we may be here for the summer. Not so bad but very hot at times. I hope all is well, shelter in place if you can and be safe. Remember to thank all those you have helped during this time: doctors, nurses, CDC, grocery store workers, truckers, railroad people, family, friends, and more. If we work together we can all get through this worldwide problem. Safe travels if you must.
