11/23/19 And we thought PA drivers were bad

Ok, as we drive around to the doctors and stores we found a new experience. Most roads in Texas are 55 to 75 (with most 60 to 75) mph even if there are lights or cross traffic! It is not unusual to see a driver make a dash across the road to get to other side even at those speeds! It is so weird!

Doc update: we are set for the surgery on Dec 12 and things are looking up. We should be here till the end of Dec or the middle of Jan. But at least things will be done. Probably, spend the rest of winter in Southern Texas by the Gulf or near San Antonio where it is warmer. The weather here got cold once but since it has been in 60 to 80s for highs and low 40 to 50s for lows. Not too bad.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and start to Christmas.

11/16/2019 Rig Shakeout

Well, we travel to avoid cold weather and it seems to follow. We are in Waco, TX and te los=ws have been in the 20 and 30s and the highs in the 30 to 60s. At least we got to test the rig real well in the cold. It took one cold night for us to figure out the heat system. A walk through at a dealer is not enough to show you everything and the manuals can be worse as they have little to no information.

We found we had a heat pump (good if cold 40 and above) and a gas heater. The gas heater is mainly for the bedroom with one vent int he main living are under the fireplace. The fireplace is like a ceramic heater so it helps a lot too in the main living area.

Rearranged the cabinets again (6th time) so things are accessible and easily fit. Still, I haven’t been able to fill the large refrig. Pantry is great too. Tested the washer and dryer – works great. Cannot run both at the same time as they are on same circuit.

Water has been out big issues. We have a leak int he refrig, FOund the filter was not incorrectly. A leak in the water bay which may be the filter or another cause but been too cold to check yet.

SO we leave Waco Monday for Livingston and more doc appointments.

11/10/19 Maiden Voyage

We decided to stop at Waca to see some sights and this was our maiden voyage for the new 2020 Entegra Emblem Coach!

Both coaches as we planned to unload the Winnebago and load the Entegra.

We planned to leave at 9 AM abut left at 5 AM since we were up. The ride is so smooth, it is unreal. We found one screen missing and the driver’s side window whistles a little.

Berny on I35 heading to Waco, TX.

The moving and cleaning up was exhausting – more for Berny then me but the cats and I were very tired.

11/6/19 Child of Unicorn

Ok – we have been talking about getting a new RV – bigger at least. So we have been looking as we traveled. We found one we liked and may get it this Friday. It is an Entegra Coach Emblem H36, 38 feet long with the shower a lot bigger! It has a fireplace, refrig with water and ice, washer/dryer, king bed, and more. It is still gas and uses similar things to our Intent but it appears it is made a lot better. More to come
